Message from Terry Burwell. Hampshire RFU Council Rpresentative

As, I hope, you’re aware the RFU is carrying out a strategic review of the Competitions Structure, first introduced in 1987.

The context for this review is the challenges the Adult Male XV-a-side game is facing in our changing society and how we ensure the competitions structure meets the aspirations and expectations of everyone involved, but particularly the players.

As part of that process the RFU is asking for input from all interested parties but, ideally we will have the views and opinions of players, current and lapsed, in our Clubs.

There are no firm proposals at this stage, we are conducting a survey similar to the one HRFU carried out but with links to some models that are being considered.

The survey asks for a view on these options as well as other relevant questions.

Please encourage everyone with an interest in this very important aspect of the Club Rugby delivery to complete the survey as soon as possible.
