Message from Owen Farrell
With England’s emphatic 40-16 victory over Australia, the entire game in England is preparing for the semi-final against New Zealand in Yokohama next Saturday.

After the victory over Australia, captain Owen Farrell had a message for the fans: “The support has been brilliant. It’s a massive privilege to play for England and we are so excited to now play in the semi-finals and to have the fans behind us.”

Get out the England shirts and get together for the 9am kick-off in clubhouses nationwide.

Don’t forget to promote your events on your club’s website, social media channels and in your local media.

Make Sure You Shine on Saturday
New ‘Rise and Shine’ marketing resources, which clubs can download and edit, will be available on the resources section of the England Rugby website here later this week to help everyone promote their Rugby World Cup semi-final events.

Rise and Shine
This week’s rise and shine photograph comes from Preston Grasshoppers’ Rugby World Cup All Schools XPitch Festival on Tuesday 15 October. Over 180 Year 7 pupils from 12 local schools entered the event, many playing their first games of rugby.

We continue to post loads of interesting posts on England Rugby’s social media channels and it’s great that the nation continue to be behind the squad. #CarryThemHome

National Rugby Survey
Don’t miss the November deadline to take part in the National Rugby Survey. Please remind all club members and players to complete it so that England Rugby can best meet the needs of the entire game. There’s the chance to win either one of five £100 England Rugby Store vouchers, or one of five pairs of tickets to an England Men’s XV match at Twickenham in 2020.

The views of everyone in rugby matter to us because your individual experience of the game will be invaluable in the biggest community rugby survey of its kind.

Level 3 Coaching Award
The 2020/21 Level 3 Coaching Award is now open for bookings. Coaches wishing to apply should log on to the online booking system and have their GMS login details available.

Full details of the course are available below.

There are two main changes from last year to be aware of:

1. There is a two-part mandatory 'Towards Level 3' process. This includes a webinar and a face to face workshop. This is to help applicants prepare for the course, understand the requirements and make a more informed judgement about taking part.
2. Applicants must meet all the prerequisites, including having completed their Level 2 coaching award before September 1st 2017. This is to ensure they have been operating as a Level 2 coach for at least 3 years, which we believe will have helped them to develop their coaching craft to a level that should prepare them for Level 3.
